Terms and Conditions

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website or registering for a Birchwood Archery program, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or register for programs.

2. Registration and payment

Registration for classes and events is confirmed once payment is received and the required waiver is signed. Class capacity is limited; registering does not guarantee a spot until confirmed.

If you need to cancel your registration, please let us know at least 48 hours before the class is scheduled to start and we'll issue a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are not eligible for a refund.

If you miss a class without giving notice, please contact us at archery@sarahking.ca — we'll look at options on a case-by-case basis, but a spot in a future class isn't guaranteed.

If Birchwood Archery needs to cancel a class for any reason (weather, coach unavailability, etc.), you'll automatically receive a full refund — no need to request it.

3. Code of conduct

All participants, parents, guardians, and visitors are expected to follow range safety rules and instructions from coaches and range staff at all times. Birchwood Archery reserves the right to remove any participant from a program, without refund, for conduct that endangers the safety of others.

4. Minimum age and supervision

Due to insurance and liability coverage, the minimum participant age is 7 years old. Private lessons are conducted under our Rule of Two safety protocol — a second adult is always present. See our Safe Sport & Youth Protection page for more detail.

5. Website use

You agree not to use this website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with any other party's use of it. Content on this website, including text, graphics, and the Birchwood Archery logo, is owned by Birchwood Archery and may not be reproduced without permission.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Birchwood Archery is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or participation in our programs, beyond what is addressed in the signed waiver and release of liability completed at registration.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable within Alberta.

We are also not bound by Bill 9 and Bill 29.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of this website or participation in our programs after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
