Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 1, 2025

Welcome to Birchwood Archery (also known as Birchwood Bowbenders). We are a small, faith-based community archery club operating with the blessing of Birch Bay Ranch but run independently. Our mission is to provide safe, Christ-centered archery lessons where youth and families can grow in both skill and faith.

By registering for and participating in our programs, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Participation & Eligibility

  • Minimum age is 7 years old, as required by our insurance (CGL) and liability standards.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for registering their child and ensuring information is accurate.

  • All participants must follow the direction of instructors for their own safety and for the safety of others.

2. Safety Standards

  • We strictly follow the Rule of Two: at least two adults will always be present during private lessons. This aligns with Safe Sport and UCCMS (Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport).

  • Instructors are certified under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and have completed Respect in Sport training.

  • All participants are expected to follow range commands, use equipment properly, and respect safety protocols. Failure to do so may result in removal without refund.

3. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We do not store personal registration information on this website. All submissions are emailed directly to the program administrator and managed offline for program purposes only.

  • Birchwood Archery does not sell, share, or distribute personal data.

  • Camper/staff "references" to Birch Bay Ranch are for identification only. We DO NOT have access or will Birch Bay Ranch’s systems or records. We have our own system for records keeping.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Athletes: Must demonstrate respect, patience, and sportsmanship at all times.

  • Parents/Guardians: We follow a Parent Code of Conduct (COC) to ensure supportive, respectful behavior toward athletes, coaches, and other families. Parents must refrain from sideline coaching, disruptive behavior, or conduct that undermines the program’s faith-based environment.

  • Faith-Based Values: As a Christian program, we integrate Biblical principles into our teaching. While archery is our sport, discipleship and character are our foundation.

5. Small Club Context

Birchwood Archery is a grassroots, "small-potatoes" club—not a large governing body. We exist for community, mentorship, and fun, with a strong emphasis on safety, spiritual growth, and personal development. Please understand that our resources are very limited compared to provincial or national organizations, but our standards remain aligned with Safe Sport and NCCP values.
